ChessBrain
May 4th, 2011 Posted in Artificial Intelligence, InternetHi all,
As you may or may not know, I was involved in the ChessBrain project several years ago, which set a world record for computation, networking together over 2,000 computers to play a single game of chess. THe project lead was Carlos Justiniano, who wrote much of the networking infrastructure, whereas I wrote the chess side of things. The Beowulf Chess Engine project home page is still available on this site, though I don’t do any work on it any more.
Well, the Guinness World Records people finally put up an official announcement on their website. Yay!
